Puerto Natales and Cueva Milodon, Southern Patagonia, Chile (January, 2016)

Once we arrived back to Punta Arenas from Isla Magdalena, we got some dinner, then hopped in the motorhomes and headed north towards Puerto Natales. We didn't quite make it there before we ran out of energy (and daylight), so we pulled off the side of the road for the night. Our motorhomes were fully self-contained with generators and a hot water heater for the shower, which was perfect for us. The next morning we drove the rest of the way to Puerto Natales and spent a little time in the town watching the local skaters and BMX bikers after getting gas and having lunch, then we headed towards our destination (Torres del Paine) on some of the back roads.

We stopped for a small hike to Milodon Cave (Cueva Milodon) and we had a look around. The dirt roads were very rough on the motorhomes and it took us a long time to arrive from Puerto Natales to Torres del Paine. By the time we arrived, it was near dark.
