The Dead of Winter (January, 2007)

We are officially in the dead of winter. If anyone has been to Pittsburgh in the winter, they know that it is freezing cold and we usually go at least 30 days without seeing the sun (usually the entire month of February). Snow doesn't really accumulate, so we mostly try to stay indoors. It's always a challenge for Eliza to keep the kids occupied and happy when they can't be outdoors. Being indoors allows for a lot of opportunities to take good pictures though:


Ryder loves to share Sawyer's sippy cup with her.


Sawyer loves her Leap Pad. She likes to play the games in her princess book.


Sawyer is also into painting.

Our Christmas in PA (December, 2006)

This was the quitest Christmas of our lives.

This was a great Christmas. We were able to take our time, play with the toys as we opened them, and spend time with our small family. It took us practically all day to get through all the presents. Ryder loved his squishy, lifelike alligator, shark, rat, and spider toys. Sawyer was excited with each and every present she received. We need to do Christmas like this more often!
